Busted!

I got busted today, I was speeding. The cop said I passed a MAC, XP, Ubuntu, Windows 7 and just about every other OS ever made. I smiled and said: “That’s nice officer, they can kiss my a$$.” He asked what kind of rig I was using, I said: “The fastest OS on earth, Puppy Linux!”

Folks it’s way past time to kick that other crap to the curb and step up to a real OS like Linux, Puppy Linux that is! Put a Puppy Linux disc in your drive, bootup and in less than a minute you’ll see the desktop.

Trust me on this: There are only two states, before booting Puppy Linux and after. Afterwards you’ll never be satisfied with anything less, and everything else is less!

Boot Times

Measured with stop watch from BIOS start screen to usable desktop.

• Puppy Linux 4.3.1 booted from CD (with save file): 38 seconds
• Windows 7: 1 minute 23 seconds
• Ubuntu Live Disc: I nodded off, it was still grinding!

Shut Down Time

No contest, all other OS are hopelessly slow, Puppy Linux wins hands down.

• Puppy Linux: 3 seconds

When performance matters, there’s only one choice, Puppy Linux.

Got Windows or MAC? Just delete it, you don’t need it. If it’s worth doing it’s been done in Puppy Linux!
