WINE Runs Windows Software in Puppy Linux (download)
Install and run your Windows software with WINE just like you did in Windows.

Download and Install
Download a WINE PET file. Use ROX-Filer to browse to the file, click once on .pet file and follow prompts to install.
During install WINE may ask to download Gecko packages. If you are connected to the Internet click Install button to start download and installation of packages. Now wait for WINE configuration screen to appear. Click Audio tab. A dialog box will ask you to accept a sound driver, click OK then click Test Sound button to see if driver works, now click Apply. Click Applications tab. From the drop down for Windows Version select the version of windows most compatiable with the software you want to use then click Apply and OK.
When installation is complete click OK. After WINE is installed it is fully integrated into Puppy Linux. You may now install and run your Windows compatible software just as you previously did in Windows.

Windows Is Not Required To Run WINE
It is a complete software environment and Windows need not be installed for you to use WINE.

To see what kind of success others have had at running a particular application you may either view the Top 10 Platinum List or browse the complete database of applications on the WINE web site.
Not All Windows Software Will Run In WINE
Some but not all Windows compatible software will run in WINE and hence Puppy Linux but you have nothing to lose by trying.
WINE Install Size
If you are running Puppy Linux as a save file install with the default 512MB personal storage space then you may need to increase that to 1BG before installing WINE. To increase personal storage space read Resize Personal Storage File
